How to obtain an Apostill of Polish documents

In the era of globalization, when state borders are becoming more and more permeable, the legalization of documents for international use becomes of great importance. One of the most important tools to facilitate this process is the Apostille.


An Apostille is a certificate that allows an official document to be recognized as authentic in other countries signatory to the 1961 Hague Convention. Thanks to this, there is no need for additional legalization of documents at embassies or consulates of the country to which the document is to be sent.


In Poland, Apostille can be assigned to the following types of documents:

  1. Official documents : civil status records (birth, marriage, death certificates), marital status certificates.
